New issue Announcement

20.02.2008

Since the transition process has not yet finished, we made a couple of mistakes in the fourteenth issue. Ampersand team would like to apologize for frequent grammar mistakes, which was cause by miscommunication and a drawback in our system. We would also like to acknowledge that pictures, that accompany the snow business article on pages 14 and 15, were taken by Anna Gasiorowska.

Ampersand Update

2008-01-17

One of the finest contributors and stakeholders of the Ampersand Magazine - Jarek Grzeogrzek is coming back for a little while from China where he tries to promote our activities, which have been warmly welcomed by international students. That is one of the reasons we made an appointment with the Rector of WSB-NLU in Nowy Sacz - Mr. Richard Magner for the following week. Our gathering will involve discussion on future of the media market in our town, ways to use Ampersand's potential, and views on cooperation between the magazine and the school.

Welcome to Ampersand

Ampersand is an English magazine published on the campus of the Polish-American School of Business - National Louis University (WSB-NLU) in Nowy Sacz, Poland. However, it is distributed also around Nowy Sacz, Krakow, and there are plans to expand nationally. The team truly hopes You will be able to find all the necessary and relevant information on this site. We are also counting on the possibility of cooperating with You in any form. Ampersand, as the name suggests, aims to promote intercultural communication, understanding and respect and to bridge the gap between students coming from different cultures through a language that is probably native to none but common to all. Through the magazine we also hope to give our readers the chance to explore the fascinating world of the English language, for which we all share a passion. The articles portrayed in the magazine deal with a variety of subjects, which the writers are interested in, ranging from school issues to business, politics, psychology, technology, art and many more.
